Portland’s Salt & Straw Ice Cream comes to SF

San Francisco is known for trendy quirky and hipster food pits and pop-ups. So it makes sense that San Fransisco will be welcoming not one but two Salt & Straw portland based ice cream shops in spring 2017. The first location will be in Pacific Heights on Fillmore Street and the second will be in Hayes Valley. In the meantime, Bay Area locals will have to anticipate their upcoming pop-up shop.

What’s so special about Salt & Straw ice cream any way you might say. Well, this creamery has to be spoiling locals in portland with awesome ice cream flavors. San Francisco has a knack for creating new dishes and giving them names with references to the city. It is no surprise that Salt & Straw plans to create SF-inspired flavors. Again, locals will have to anticipate their names, but I’m sure they will not let us down.

One more reason Salt & Straw will fit so perfectly in San Francisco is because they have a charitable angle and will be making donations to local schools.

Once again, San Francisco will be home to unique shops with quirky but notable styles.
